Kimberly ‘Kim’ Eugenia Cunningham was born on February 10, 1972, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to parents Judy Gail Moore and Ricki Eugene Harris. Kim was one of four sisters growing up in a challenging neighborhood marked by drugs and crime.

Tragedy struck on April 1, 1986, when Kim’s older sister Brenda Lynn, known as ‘Sissy,’ died in a car accident at the age of 15. This event caused the family to unravel, with Kim’s mother, Judy, experiencing a nervous breakdown, and her father, Ricki, feeling lost.

Amidst the turmoil, Kim’s oldest sister, Rhonda, moved out to live with her boyfriend, Coy Hundley. Coy, described as a kind and loving person with a passion for older cars, had a penchant for getting into trouble. Concurrently, Kim found a new home with her best friend Sarah’s family, where she crossed paths with Johnny Ray Cunningham Jr., Sarah’s older brother.

The two fell in love and in September 1987, Kim and Johnny, only 15 and 19…
