On June 16, 2021, an Amber Alert was issued for Summer Moon-Utah Wells, who was 5 years old at the time. Almost three years have passed since then, yet investigators have not been able to locate Summer.

The Family History
Summer’s disappearance revealed a long family history of alleged drug use, alcoholism, burglary, and domestic violence.
Summer’s father, Donald ‘Don’ Wells Jr., born in November 1964, encountered legal issues at a young age when he was arrested for possessing marijuana at 17 in 1982. What followed were decades of numerous charges across different states, spanning from burglary and theft to violations such as open container law breaches and driving without a license. Particularly noteworthy was a felony spousal battery charge in 1991 for assaulting his then-wife while she held their child, Don Wells III.
Summer’s mother, Candus Rose Bly, born in May 1982, also had brushes with the law. In 2002, she was arrested for battery and received three years of probation. In 2003, she faced charges twice for disorderly conduct, pointing a gun at an individual, and domestic abuse, leading to 90-day sentences in a correctional facility each time.
